What a great and fun show to listen to!
Great complement to The VFX show!

Thanks!

[Ed. Note: Thanks so much, glad you like it. Many more Post Shows to come...]

Hi, John --

What a great idea for a show! Downloading now, and looking forward to many more.

On the "FCP vs. Avid" front, thought you might like to know about something to help level the playing field in at least one key respect:

Best wishes,

[Ed. Note: The Final Cut vs. AVID discussion is in Part 2. Thanks for the kind words and the link.]

I would like to offer some feedback since this is the first episode.

It felt like a side conversation from another show as opposed to a new show entirely. I think for a pilot episode there should have been more of introduction before cutting into what sounded like almost mid-sentence.

Even though you say who is on the show, I had no idea which voice was which until 4 minutes in I knew which one was Paul then I think Mike uses John’s name almost 45 minutes in so I could figure out who was who. Not to mention, I don't know what anyone does or why they are important enough to be on a show about post production.

It needed more of a mission statement for what the show was supposed to be. It was about halfway through before I got the idea about how the first conversation really had anything to do with post production.

I didn't feel this show was intended to be heard. It seemed like a conversation you would over hear waiting for a movie to start. I didn't feel inspired to participate in the conversation by commenting in the comment section. Instead I felt more inspired to talk about why I wasn't.

I thought everyone had something interesting to say and I’ll listen to another episode. I just wish going in I was told what this show was going to actually be.

The music at the top and bottom of the show seems to be kind of cryptic and thriller sounding which doesn’t fit with the overall episode.

I just felt like I was missing something. I heard about this on twitter and feel like there is some massive backstory I'm missing, but shouldn't be since this is the first episode.

Lastly, people who download this because of the description says you talk about television, “Lost” and “Heroes” might be a bit pissed.

[Ed. Note: The LOST and Heroes discussion, and a lot more, can be found in Part 2 of the show. Thanks for your comments and stay tuned. We're still experimenting and believe this is a show people want to hear.]
